This is a very thoughtful and well-written piece. Some of the most trenchant observations and analysis of the leftist pathology I’ve encountered.

great essay. the Leninist angle is crucial for understanding the power dynamics of the left and how they play out in the real world.

once the revolution and civil war had ended, Lenin abandoned his promises to the wretched (the workers, soldiers and peasants). look what happened to the BLM movement. once Biden was in and Cullors and crew had bought ten mansions, the elite completely abandoned the entire movement. I never even see the hashtag anymore.

I imagine the Trans movement might become a liability soon as well…

What society needs is accountability. Serious accountability can show seriousness of purpose.

Self-government means sovereignty of the individual - not our hirelings. When our hirelings in gov reject the authority we have delegated to them, the responsibility for civilization remains ours. When we get serious enough to hang miscreants on the Mall - miscreants doing real damage (Mayorkas, Fauci, Wray, etc.) - and closing the border (as the law requires) through force of our own arms, we can begin to turn things around.

But without our recognizing that order is our responsibility in any self-governing republic, and that our hirelings have rejected authority delegated to them, and that responsibility cannot be delegated, society will not change for the better.
