I used to work in China and Jiang is a familiar enough type. He’s got a sort of fetish for Western thought that is half baked at best. This combined with the Chinese cultural weakness of saying whatever the listener wants to hear without exactly “lying” is something that Westerners have no immunity to.
On our side a lot of people think that he’s CCP. I don’t think it matters if he’s CCP, Falun Gong, or just a run of the mill grifter (my belief).
Fake Professor Jiang is a pied piper, meaning someone promoted to charm you with a lot of rehashed truths presented as brand new, only to lead you, the gullible, into a dead end rabbit hole. There is also a cult-like dimension to the operation, not unlike Operation Q.
Jiang does what other western influencers do not - that is, describe and expound how the world really works. And you won’t find that in the Maxwell-sanctioned textbooks. You can deride it as “conspiracy”, but conspiracies make the world go round, regardless of your personal “beliefs”. After all, if conspiracies weren’t real, why the secret societies? Jiang lays out plainly the road-map of the ruling class elites, and no other has done so. Sure, he has to abridge many authors and literary works and simplify things in his hour long classes. It’s easy to dismiss him because of his colloquial “professor” title, but mind you, Professor is used informally for teachers. Don’t let your ethnocentric tendencies blind-side you. Jiang even said himself that he offers “speculation”, not scripture. And he even reflected on his errors of very specific predictions like Hailey, citing that he is better at bigger picture predictions. To sum, you may not like him but he is the people’s professors. And he’s here to give us hope.
Yes, you are right. All believers in Government don’t like him and the possibility of truth that he is telling us. Of course it isn’t 100% right and all NPC’s are against him without a real argument. For a believer it’s impossible to change his view but in media it’s different. It’s all about the narrative. The biggest is: You need a Government and someone must rule you. Freedom is the dangerous thing ever.
His credentials are pretty irrelevant to me. Personally Im wary of credentialism, working on my second degree at this time. University is a huge neoliberal indoctrintaion and group think machine. Most of my favorite mentors have low/no Doctorate-tier creds.
The problem is that he lied about them. Normally, if someone without a doctorate is referred to as "professor" or "doctor", they will correct the mistake.
Not really. He was on Danny Haiphong's podcast recently and never corrected Danny when he addressed him as Professor Jiang. Ditto for his appearance on Dialogue Works.
I genuinely admire your analytical reasoning and your ability to construct a coherent argument. Your conclusions are thoughtful and intellectually stimulating, and I enjoyed reading your analysis.
At the same time, political forecasting is inherently uncertain. The same historical facts and geopolitical realities can lead different thinkers to very different conclusions. For that reason, I also respect those who devote years to building a framework that attempts to connect history, politics, and international affairs. Even when their predictions are imperfect, the intellectual effort and the courage to propose a comprehensive interpretation deserve recognition.
In the end, rigorous criticism and bold hypothesis-building are both essential to the pursuit of knowledge. History advances not only through those who test ideas, but also through those willing to formulate them.
À propos de “Professor Jiang, Predicting the Future” :
Hendrik Lorentz developed the mathematics on the basis of which Einstein presented his restricted relativity theory. Hendrik Lorentz was a Nobel Prize laureate at the time, while Einstein was a functionary in Bern, Switzerland. Yet when one speaks of relativity, one never mentions Hendrik Lorentz. Conclusion: even if more than one person thinks the same, in a certain way, one needs the intellectual courage to put ideas forward that others might also be close to but never thought of doing for whatever reason. History rewards the first that puts ideas together because he takes the intellectual risk of doing so!
He repeats that he thinks religion is the most important pillar of society for social cohesion something Marx got wrong. He also repeats that he is trying to help equip his young students with tools to be able to critically think and he is NOT teaching a history class. You somehow missed all this. I welcome a take-down of this guy but nobody has done it yet. Ankle biting indeed.
Cults operate in a similar way. His tone throughout is that certain things are "obvious" or that you are foolish if you don't conclude as he does. This isn't the objective non-ideological tone with which he starts each series. The points I've made here stand.
Jiang predicted adamantly about 12 -15 months ago that for “logistics “ reasons China would ally with Israel and build a new canal that bypasses the Suez Canal and reach the Mediterranean Sea at Gaza …. Just business reasons and “logistics .” He could not or would not explain why China would allow itself to become reliant on Israel . Or why suez could not be widened or made more efficient . Or why the Houthis would go along with this plan

Excellent. I posted this note on X: https://x.com/Laurent_Guyenot/status/2056330588521398680?s=20

Appreciate the support!
Jiang might indeed be cia asset. Like with QAnon.

He's not a professor. He has a bachelor's degree and nothing more. He works as a high school teacher in China.
His credentials are pretty irrelevant to me. Personally Im wary of credentialism, working on my second degree at this time. University is a huge neoliberal indoctrintaion and group think machine. Most of my favorite mentors have low/no Doctorate-tier creds.

Indeed, he did it many times. It’s the followers who called him professor

Ahhh. Kind of scummy, yes.
I like Jiang a lot but I found irritating how nobody notices the things you commented, nice summary.
Much appreciated
Good takedown, if you can’t get the first principles right then you can’t get everything right by definition
Thanks. You got it.
Once I noticed his classroom environment was fake I resolved not to trust a word he said.
I was lucky enough to hear his talk on secret societies as an excuse for women to have sex in the woods, which is a hilariously bad take
He is a Mason9c stooge playing his part like they ALL do..

unfortunately, I've to agree.
Well done!🤝

What?
He was probably part of that Skull & Bones club at Yale
And i highly doubt that he was a bonesmen since he is not from the upper class. Far from.
That would make him cia.
He is 100% CCP copy and steal. He steal from many, most from Christopher Jon Bjerknes andd Sir escanor…
