I usually like & agree with Vogel's essays, and I am NOT a fan or supporter of Israel... But... for those who loath the state of Israel, can they at least not go to the extreme of becoming admirers, supported and cheerleaders of Iran? How can anyone (not Muslim) root for one of the most repressive, oppressive and barbaric regime on the planet? A medieval theocracy that executes dissenters & jail women for not wearing a scarf on their heads... Seriously???

I have never engaged in cheerleading for the current Iranian government and there is nothing in this essay that indicates I do.
