This article went compelely over my head. I have little sympathy with Christianity or other Abrahamic religions. Western civilization, as far as I’m concerned, started with the rediscovery of Ancient Greek and Latin in the 15th century,

I'm not clear on what the author is talking about in most of this article. It's rather verbose. Can you please summarize your stance on Eliphas Levi in a few sentences?

According to Albert Pike, that might be true of the etymology of "free-mason" frere macon...I was led to believe it meant that these masons were "free to join" even though they weren't skilled stonemasons. so "freemason" implies purely speculative masonry.
