Interestingly, both the left and the right are highly divided on this issue. There are friends of both Israel and Palestine everywhere. Generally, there is a tendency to fervently support one side and demonise the other. This conflict enjoys an inflated importance in Western public opinion, especially when compared to other conflicts.
