Rest assured, there are PLENTY of non-zionist (lack of capitalization by intent) Christians in the United States, but any who run for office and voice that (lack of) belief are shut out of higher political candidacy in most venues. The political potency of the Christian zionist movement may well outweigh their actual numbers, much akin to the muslims in Michigan, at 2.4% of the population (the midterms will show us how much for that group). Remember, Trump's majority also included a lot of voters like me who find him to be a contemptible human being but would never, ever vote for a Democrat.
