This was a great overview. I’ve added this book to my list of must-reads. I’m not terribly familiar with Dominique Venner so if anyone can recommend a primer/book or gateway to his Weltanschauung please let me know.
Venner was a soldier, an activist and a historian. Arktos has translated two of his more popular works: 'For a Positive Critique' and 'The Shock of History.'
'For a Positive Critique' is a short political manifesto. Some say it is equivalent to Lenin's 'What Must Be Done' but for the right. It is a very short read with lots of great advice.
However, if you really want to understand the man, I would recommend reading 'The Shock of History.' It's an interview between him and an anonymous journalist "Pauline Lecomte"(who is later discovered to be his wife, Clotilde Venner) that really lays out his entire worldview.
