Well written and many good points — though a minor footnote or perhaps a significant one: US consumers spend roughly 10x as much on Christmas decorations as Halloween.

So the normie consumer world is not quite as macabre or decaying as perhaps the 17-35 in urban areas (which tends to overemphasize trends).

However, Halloween decor spending is 2nd to Christmas. Michael's and other retailers know what their customers want.
